Gin Rummy is a two-player card game where the goal is to form sets and runs from the cards in your hand and reduce the points left ungrouped.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Get Your Cards
Each player is dealt 10 cards. The rest go into the draw pile, with one card placed face-up to start the discard pile.

  2. Take Turns
On your turn, draw one card (either from the draw pile or the discard pile), then discard one. You’re trying to build sets (3 or 4 of the same rank) and runs (3 or more cards in a row of the same suit).

  3. Go for Gin or Knock

    • You can "Gin" when all 10 of your cards are in valid sets/runs — this gives you the most points.

    • You can "Knock" if your unmatched cards (called deadwood) total 10 points or less.

  4. Scoring
After someone knocks or goes Gin, players lay down their hands. The winner scores points based on the difference in deadwood, with bonuses for going Gin or undercutting.

  5. Keep Playing
Rounds continue until a player reaches the target score.

Don’t worry, the game guides you through each step as you play. You’ll get the hang of it in no time!
